Comment: I'm a member of danceart.com and a good friend of another member who lost
her young son the previous year. Through her son's website I read of Valerie's son and wanted
to come here and express my condolences to all of his family and friend. I didn't know Zach
but I feel that through this wonderful site I've come to know him. He seemed like a great friend,
a good man, and a wonderful son. I lost a brother when he was 22, I lost my mom the following
year and fairly recent lost another brother who was only 42. I know the loss of someone so special...

Comment: Valerie, you did an amazing job on this webpage, I have so so many memories of Zach, he was an amazing guy, he lived each and everyday like it was forever long, he would do more in one day then someone could do in a week, he was the smiling sunglass wearing, trench coat, blue flanal shirt, adidas hat and of couse cant forever the pimp hat, everytime i would call him on the phone to come and hang out(which was almost everyday)he was always eatting and watching sports, but he was always down to chill, you could talk to him about anything and everything, he was always their for everyone, he will always be my heart....

Comment: Dear Burks Family, You probably have never heard of me, but my name is Matt Brodsky and I graduated with Zach from Taravella in 2002. While Zach kept to himself, we did talk a lot over our high school career. He was a great guy and I regretted not staying in touch with him after high school. Now I really really regret it. He was a class act and I will see him again someday. My deepest sympathies go out to all of you. I didn't get to know Zach as a good friend, and it hurts me now, I cant even imagine what you guys are going through. Deepest Sympathies.
